the past year.....

well, last september i got a job at a lottery booth. been there for almost a year now. :)

got a puppy. sweet little monster... erm.... poopsie... or should i call her a carpet shark. :) she is great at hunting toes. she catches 'em every time. darn those sharp puppy teeth.

She is a cross between a Yorkshire Terrier, and a Shih Tzu. right now she is 6 1/2 months old. and only 5 lbs. still so itty bitty. she has learnt quite a few commands in her short life - sit, lay down, say hello, get a toy / ball, fetch & bring it, dance, stand pretty (we couldnt teach her to sit pretty, so it works), kisses, hugs, we are teaching her to crawl. i seem to be having a problem teaching her to stay. she wants to be with her mommy instead. she has learned many words like - squirrel, mouse, kitty. (there are always squirrels and mice on our patio, they love the birdseed) my cat cant stand the puppy, and probably never will. Sukie always tries to play with kitty, but Misty wont have anything to do with her.

right now i am trying to find a second part-time job to go with my lottery job. i am not getting quite enough hours, and need a few more. kids are heading back to school, so there should be jobs aplenty soon.

speaking of kids.... melissa is getting ready to enter grade 9 this year. wow. time sure flies. she cant wait until high school. geez, 14 1/2 years have gone just too damn fast. i remember when she.... well maybe i shouldnt tell that story. she would kill me. its like showing a baby in a bathtub pic. lol

we have been painting in our dungeon for the past 2 weeks. (that would be our home. we live in a basement) most is eggshell, but one wall is a very light lilac color. i really like it. painting is finished, but now i have to put everything back into order. so much to do, not enough time to do it all in.

well, thats it for today. gotta remember to update this thing more often. lol
